The future of house wares
In many cases, we hear the financial forecasters saying always that recovery is going to be quite different than the previous recoveries and as the economy will be moving away from the recession towards recovery, still the things are not going to be the same as they were 2 or 3 years ago. Both the suppliers and the consumers behaviour will be different. Capital and cash are not going to be surplus as they were in the past. Even if people are having the money, they will become more conscious on spending it.
But when the consumers starts spending his or her money, then the economy will start to rebound again, the new models are significantly going to be different and to thrive, and the retailers will then adapt the new behaviours of the customers and the competitors. Now, what are those differences?
• People are focussing more on the sustainable products such the kind of materials used ( whether they are natural, or are recycled materials, or are produced locally), and in the way the products are shipped and manufactured.
• More than half of the population in this world are living in cities for the first time. In addition to this people like spending more time at their homes. For the product evolution, time saving and space innovation are going to be the two most important factors.
• As this generation starts aging, they will expect designers to develop house wares that are more in sync with the natural laws and are less complex to handle. The generation will need simplicity in house wares as well as other products.
• As more and more number of young people start taking interest in cooking, men have learned to cook as well. Men, in fact, cook very well nowadays. This could be due to the number of cooking shows that are now frequently being shown on the television, or due to the numerous cooking games that are now popular among smart phone users. Whatever be it, it has definitely caught the eye of many youngsters. Now, these youngsters would be demanding house ware products that are more appealing to the eye.
• As time passes by and technology advances, customers will become all the more keen on house wares and the other items they will choose to buy for their homes. Now, this could prove to be very beneficial, both to the customers as well to the manufacturers. Customers will become better informed about the products. Secondly, they will have the properly informed and correct judgment as to what to buy, when to buy and where to buy from. Since customers will know what are the products that are good for them, companies that will be manufacturing superior quality products will always be in profit.
• Since more people will want to cook at home and recreate in an attempt to save more money, they will need better house wares to duplicate the experience they could get at a restaurant.
House wares will eventually become obsolete, and the kitchen of the future will just be operated with a button. Of course, there will have to be kitchen tools that work with button operation before the kitchen itself will ever work by button operation, but the dream is there.
